LGBT activism in the West of Bahia: path, current situation and politicalpotencies

Este artigo enseja, por meio do Estudos Queer, investigar e situar o panorama dos espaçosde sociabilidade e de re(ex)sistência cultural pertinentes aos grupos, coletivos ativistas e pessoas não heterossexuais e de gênero dissidente, na região Oeste da Bahia. Analisar-se-á como esses sujeitos e coletivos não são reconhecidos pelos regimes normatizadores, (não) acessam direitos básicos e quais configurações ativistas existem na região, quem são as pessoas que estão à frente dos movimentos e dos espaços de poder para que o público LGBT tenha visibilidade e possam ser tratadas com igualdade, reconhecidas suas diferenças.

Title: LGBT activism in the West of Bahia: path, current situation and political potencies

This article proposes, through Queer Studies, to investigate and situate the panorama of spaces of sociability and re (ex) cultural relevance pertinent to non - heterosexual and dissident groups and individuals in the western region of Bahia. It will be analyzed, as these subjects, are not recognized by the regulatory regimes, (not) access basic rights and what activist configurations exist in the region, who are the people who are ahead of the movements and the spaces of power so that the public LGBT have visibility and can be treated equally, their differences recognized.
