Policies for the assistance of women in situation of domestic violence: the ‘Centers of Reference for the Assistance of Women’ and the intersectional approach

O artigo visa contribuir para o debate sobre o lugar dos Centros de Referência de Atendimento às Mulheres em Situação de Violência na política de enfrentamento à violência de gênero. Busca problematizar, a partir dos documentos que definem as diretrizes de atendimento às mulheres em situação de violência nas relações afetivo/conjugais e daliteratura sobre relações étnico/raciais e interseccionalidade, de que modo a abordagem interseccional de gênero e raça/etnia pode se fazer presente nas práticas desses equipamentos. Conclui pela importância deste serviço para visibilizar as especificidades dos diferentes grupos de mulheres, segundo os marcadores de raça/etnia, e os limites de uma política pública que não incorpora esta diversidade.

Title: Policies for the assistance of women in situation of domestic violence: the ‘Centers of Reference for the Assistance of Women’ and the intersectional approach

The article aims to contribute to the debate about the place of the ‘Centers of Reference for the Assistance of Women in Situation of Violence’ among the policies to combat gender violence. It intends to question, based on documents that define the guidelines for the assistance of women in situation of violence in the affective/conjugal relationships and the literature about the ethnic/racial relations and intersectionality, so that theintersectional gender and ethnic/racial approach can be present in the practice of these services. It concludes with the importance of this service to highlight the specific features of different groups of women, according to the race/ethnicity markers and the limits to public policies that do not encompass this diversity.
