Professional work: protection responsibility in social assistance services

As reflexões deste artigo resultam de mais de uma década de dedicação das autoras à pesquisa, estudos e diálogos estabelecidos nos processos de educação permanente que desenvolvem com equipes de referência dos serviços e da gestão do Sistema Único de Assistência Social (SUAS), sobretudo, em municípios das regiões Sudeste e Sul. Apontam elementos estratégicos para o avanço da qualificação do trabalho social no SUAS, para que cidadãos e cidadãs usufruam da Proteção de Assistência Social, em sua dimensão relacional expressa nas seguranças de convivência, acolhida e autonomia. Tratam da desigualdade social como demanda para o SUAS e apontam vínculos sociais como expressão de reconhecimento e proteção decorrente da atuação das equipes. Objetivam ampliar as certezas sobre os compromissos e responsabilidades de proteção que justificam que o coletivo da sociedade financie e defenda a ampliação do SUAS.

Title: Professional work: protection responsibility in social assistance services

The reflections of this article result from more than a decade of dedication by the authors to the research, studies and dialogues established in the processes of permanent education that they develop with reference teams of the services and the management of Single System of Social Assistance (SUAS), mainly in municipalities of the Southeast and South regions. They point out strategic elements for advancing the qualification of social work in SUAS, so that citizens enjoy the Protection of Social Assistance, in its relational dimension expressed in the security of coexistence, acceptance and autonomy. They deal with social inequality as a demand for SUAS and point to social bonds as an expression of recognition and protection resulting from the teams' performance. The objective is to increase the certainties about the commitments and responsibilities of protection that justify that the collective of the society finance and defend the expansion of the SUAS.
