A reestruturação produtiva costuma ser interpretada a partir de teorias “pós-fordistas” cuja capacidade explicativa para países em desenvolvimento têm sido questionada, em função das particularidades sócio-econômicas e histórico-políticas destes últimos. Este artigo se propõe a esmiuçar a natureza da reestruturação a partir do fenômeno da financeirização do capital, para então analisar seu significado para o mundo do trabalho. Neste sentido, a reestruturação produtiva teria caráter diferenciado em diferentes partes do mundo, pois estaria inserida numa nova divisão internacional do trabalho, coerente com uma lógica de maximização dos ganhos comandada pelas finanças, e segundo interesses localizados em certos países.

Title: Labor in the context of globalized “new capitalism”

Productive restructuring is usually interpreted from the point of view of “post fordist” theories, whose application to developing countries has been widely questioned due to the socio-economic and political-historical specificities of the latter. This paper intends to scrutinize the nature of this restructuring from the point of view of the financialization of capital in order to analyze its meaning for the world of labor. In this sense, productive restructuring would have a different character in different parts of the world, for it would be included in a new international labor division, coherent with a logic of maximization of returns commanded by finance, and according to localized interests in certain countries.
