The precariousness of relations and working conditions of social workers in times of “labor reform”

A reforma trabalhista de 2017 foi regulamentada concomitantemente a medidas econômicas de contenção dos gastos públicos em políticas sociais, o que afeta diretamente as relações e condições de trabalho daqueles que ali atuam. Nesse sentido, algumas categorias de trabalhadores são diretamente afetadas pela desestruturação dos serviços, assim como pelas alterações na legislação trabalhista, que é o caso dos assistentes sociais que compõem a força de trabalho em estabelecimentos públicos e privados de serviços sociais. Parte-se da hipótese que esta categoria profissional tem sofrido uma maior intensificação do trabalho, assim como maior precarização nas formas de contratação e remuneração.

Title: The precariousness of relations and working conditions of social workers in times of “labor reform”

The 2017 labor reform was regulated concurrently with economic measures to curb public spending on social policies, which directly affect the working relationships and working conditions of those working there. In this regard, some categories of workers are directly affected by the deconstruction of the services, as well as by the changes in labor law, that is the case of social workers that compose the workforce in public and private organizations of social work. It is assumed that this professional category has suffered a greater intensification of work, as well as greater precariousness in the forms of hiring and remuneration.
