Meetings and disagreements of affirmative actions in higher education: theresistance of indigenous students

As políticas de ações afirmativas para ingresso de estudantes indígenas no ensino superior resultam da luta destes povos na busca por conhecimentos que possam contribuir na defesa e conquista de direitos e melhorias das condições de vida das suas comunidades. Por outrolado, as condições para a permanência desses estudantes no ambiente acadêmico, não são automaticamente garantidas. Este artigo tem como foco uma reflexão acerca da presença indígena nas universidades, seus desafios, dificuldades, assim como os processos de resistência instaurados pelos estudantes indígenas, que provocam um repensar das práticas e concepções acerca dos processos de ensino-aprendizagens e das relações interculturais.

Title: Meetings and disagreements of affirmative actions in higher education: the resistance of indigenous students

The Affirmative Action for Admission of Indigenous Students to Higher Education Result from the struggle of these people in the search for knowledge that can contribute in the defense and conquest of rights and improvements in the living conditions of their communities.On the other hand, the conditions for the permanence of these students in the academic environment, is not automatically guaranteed. This article focuses on a reflection on the presence of indigenous universities, their challenges, difficulties, as well as the resistance processes carried out by indigenous students, which provoke a rethinking of practices and conceptions about the processes of teaching and learning and intercultural relations.
