En este artículo abordamos, a partir del análisis de un trabajo de campo realizado en 2015, el estudio de la acción directa ligada a las demandas de hábitat en asentamientos informales en el sur de la periferia de Buenos Aires. Concentramos nuestra atención en el estatuto de las prácticas y los sujetos involucrados, así como los horizontes normativos en virtud de los cuales se representan y juzgan a sus participantes. Si, como ha señalado Roy (2005), la informalidad urbana supone al mismo tiempo que la ausencia de planificación oficial, la existencia de un sistema de normas informales que regulan su constitución y transformación, nuestro trabajo se inscribe en una preocupación por estudiar este espacio de informalidad, la legitimidad que funda y modula a las acciones de los sujetos así como las fronteras y delimitaciones que se construyen a su interior.

Title: Old and new land occupations. Controversies about direct action in informal settlementsin the periphery of Buenos Aires.

In this article we study, from a fieldwork carried out in 2015, the problem of direct action aimed at resolving land claims in informal settlements in the south of the periphery of Buenos Aires. We focus our attention on the status of the practices and the subjects involved, as well as the normative horizons under which their participants are represented and judged. If, as pointed out by Roy (2005), urban informality supposes at the same time that the absence of official planning, the existence of a system of informal rules that regulate its constitution and transformation, our work is part of a concern to study this space of informality, the legitimacy that creates and modulates the actions of the subjects as well as the borders and delimitations that are built inside them.
